Heres the latest game table  I built:

It is kind of an older picture.  I have added the rest of the cup holders since.

Hey any chance you you would give out the plans for this? I have access to wholesale electronics and can get a 60" flat-screen for what you got your 40 for, and I'd like to try and upscale this table for it.

It sounds like a good idea,  but,  I am 6'3" and I can barely reach the middle of the 40" LED TV to move the minis.

I have been thinking of releasing plans.

Its in the basement.  If we didn't have a basement, I wouldn't have a game table.  :)

You could just make a mobile version of my game table........Just fabricate a frame for an LED TV to sit in and then use your Desktop or Laptop computer to present battle maps.......

If you need maps, you can always go here: www.facebook.com/groups/151039…   Its my RPG Battlemap Emporium Facebook Group.  We have over 400+ members.  And a buttload of free battlemaps and links to awesome cheap battlemaps.

Awesome ^_____________^

Its that a pathfinder adventure path playing in roll20?

Nope.  Its a digital battlemap running on D20Pro.  I used D20Pro to run my maps because I could use layers. So the map would be the bottom layer and any placed items like campfire gif animations or a covered wagon jpg would be on other layers.  Works awesome!

Ummm, you should try roll20. You have four layers: map layer, gm layer, token layer and light layer.
Map layer for static images, gm layer for your anotations or minions invisible for your players, token layer its the playing base layer and in light layer you can draw elemnts that stop the light, like walls, doors etc (your players cant see through).

You can configure the vision range of your characters and they can use macros for the dice rolls.

Highly recommended www.roll20.net and its free.

Thank you.  It took 3 years to build.  Mostly because I used high quality materials and that art on the side of the table is an oil painting that a friend's ex-girlfriend painted.  I went over the top of it with Poly-Eurathane to make sure it stays in tact.

Nice eh....

My husband always wanted to build something like that , but we had no room for this in the house, unfortunately. >.<
Nowadays, our party lives in different cities of our country and it would not be possible anyway. We still play (thanks to the deities) but only through Roll20. Is it Roll20 what you have on the screen, or your own maps?

Even at the very beginning when we first started playing, we never played on the floor. :)  You gotta enter the 21st century.  For the right price I will build one for sale.

That's damn slick. I was thinking of a standalone box to enclose a tv that would be mobile. What size monitor is that? Looks about perfect.

:iconcyderak:
cyderak Featured By Owner May 28, 2013
The LED TV is a 40"......Making it mobile is not a problem if I wanted to but even in a mobile version it would be very heavy. And the least amount of time you have to handle a $400 to $500 piece of equipment the better. :)

Yeah, I can see that. Don't have a game room, sadly, just a big dining room table to work with. I'm thinking of making a enclosure to put it in so I can set it on top of the table. I'm finding 40"s (refurbed) at Sears for $200... They're about 25lbs, so that's manageable... How challenging was that to mount it it's enclosure?

There is a 2x4 cross brace on the inside going from one side to the opposite side and I attached a LED TV mount on that 2x4 and then mounted the TV on that.....Works great.
